IP30- March 15 (double class): Interested in building your own computer?
By the end of today, let us have:
- Pages 1-32 of the yearbook layouts completed (check public drive to see previews; let me know of any errors!)
- Interviews done and results posted to the wiki
- Meetings attended and the resulting minutes photocopied for each member of the group
If you cannot finish these in class today, tell Mr. Stinson what your survival plan is before lunch.
Cleaning of computers will continue following the completion ofthe above tasks, hopefully today.
Please add a comment to this post by letting me know if you would be interested in building your own computer to keep (cost would be $100-$300 depending on components, and obviously would be a low-end computer that can do online chat and basic use, but not for watching online videos, etc). It’s a good deal if you need a low-end computer, but if you do not need one, they will go to those who need them.
OR
you would prefer to just take one apart and rebuild it, after which it would be returned to the donating organization or maybe purchased for the school. I am hoping to arrange this for just after the Easter break.

i want to take apart and rebuild a computer instead of making my own.
I don’t want to build a computer for my personal use but I wouldn’t mind building one in class for the school or for other people who can’t afford to buy one.
i will take apart and rebuild a computer but i definitely dont want to buy it because i already have a really good one and i dont want an old one.
I would rather take apart and rebuild a computer
I would be willing to take apart and rebuild a computer for someone who needed one. I wouldnt want it becuase i already have a computer at home and it wouldnt be used.
I think it would be really cool to make my owm computer for only $100- $300! Then i would have a computer of my own, that i could keep for life and say “i built it”. BUT, i really don’t have $100-$300 to spend on a computer that isn’t as good as something that i might need/ want for the future. This may not make sense or may sound stupid, but i’d rather spend more money on something that i can do more on. Although it would be a really good experience to build my own computer, and not to metion kinda cool. I don’t know if it would be as fun to take a computer apart and then put it back together because you only get experience out of it. This way may be easier because you see where everything comes from and all you have to do is put it back from where it came.
i would like to take a part a computer because i think that it would be a freat experience because i would know where eveyrthing goes inside a computer. I also think that it would be a great exprience for me to get a hands on experience in school where i dont really have to pay for someone to teach me outside of school.
Sure, taking apart and building a computer would be cool. I don’t really want to buy one though, sorry.
Taking apart a computer would be awsome! I just would not want to buy one because i already have a good computer and dont need an old one sitting around my house.
