IP30 – April 19: Recipe for proofing recipes

Good morning,

Period 1 will be used for the proofing of recipes.

1. Organize into groups that will be responsible for particular folders.

2. Put your name on the back of each recipe proofed, and a checkmark by your name if no errors found. If there is an error, write the correction by your name. Once verified, the correction will be made on the front of the recipe.

3. Errors include spelling mistakes, words left out, incorrect measurements, or illegible handwriting. Make sure all obvious information is included.

4. Begin by reading the recipe backward (to find spelling errors), then read through forward at least a couple of times before recording the errors found or checking it off as error-free.

5. Only mark new errors that you find, not ones already indicated by another person.

6. Every recipe must be proofed by 2-3 people. Place recipes proofed by at least 2 people into a folder to keep inside the main folder.

Enjoy! (Makes about 25 dozen).
